  • Sean Haugulum

    PRESIDENT
    Sean was born and raised in Saskatchewan. He enjoys the outdoors, camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, and wildlife photography. He is a Water Resource/Environmental Engineer Technologist by trade and has been working with the City of Regina for about 25 years. He is a dedicated cat guy (their names are SAR and Loki), and loves spending time in the wilderness and water on Vancouver Island. He joined SAR Regina to use his outdoor skills, and has been activated on many searches. He is passionate about helping to bring missing people home.

  • Mohammed Quraishi

    TREASURER
    Mohammed was an Air Cadet with 703 Optimist RCACS for seven years. It was through the cadet program that he successfully passed the Basic Survival Course and later led and instructed the Survival Instructor Course. He's been involved in various outdoors pursuits over the years, and currently enjoys running, hiking, kayaking, and camping in his free time. With regards to his board experience, he's been on various cadet committees as well as the University of Regina Pre-Medicine Club executive since 2021. He's excited to apply his skills and experience to working for Search and Rescue Regina!

  • Louise Yates

    SECRETARY
    Louise and her husband retired from owning and operating K-Lane Kennels, and her prior career centred on strategic planning and brand management. She holds an MBA, and a Bachelor of Vocational-Technical Education, and has served on several non-profit boards and committees, including having served as the Regina Humane Society's President for 12 years until 2018. She enjoys dogs, being active and the outdoors. She met RCMP Member Pete Garvey and his SAR dogs Trakkr and Roo, who inspired her to become a SAR volunteer, and to train a dog for SAR so they can work together to bring home the missing.

  • Marius Burger

    DIRECTOR (EQUIPMENT)
    Marius was born and raised in South Africa and made Regina his home in December 2020. Working for Esri South Africa for 18 years and currently for Esri Canada, he has a good understanding of mapping and GIS and wants to use this knowledge for search and rescue incidents. He is a keen DIY guy and loves to “braai” (aka bbq).

  • Dr. Crystal Giesbrecht

    DIRECTOR (MEMBERSHIP)
    Crystal joined SARR in 2018. She works in the non-profit sector as the Director of Research at the Provincial Association of Transition Houses and Services of Saskatchewan (PATHS), the member association for domestic violence shelters and counselling centres. She completed her Ph.D. in the Department of Justice Studies at the University of Regina and is an Amnesty International volunteer. Her professional and volunteer experience led to her interest in joining the dedicated team of trained volunteers at SARR to assist in locating lost persons in Saskatchewan.
